Wedding Of Jocelyn & Herbert in Restaurant Passion Road Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
I get to know Herbert and Jocelyn through a good friend of mine, Aires, who is also the bride’s maid of honor. This couple has a very unique story behind – he is an Iban while she is a Chinese. Both hailed from the same hometown, Kuching, living not far from each other but they met in the flight while flying across the South China Sea.
After 5 years of courtship, the knot was tied on 15 May in KL. With her years of experience in PR industry, Jocelyn planned each and every single detail by herself. She is definitely one of the very few brides that I know, who is very clear on what she wants (and that’s why I was once very worry that can I meet her expectation or not).
Although Herbert is not a Chinese and the couple is having a contemporary wedding, but surprisingly, he really look forward to the crash the gate session. Few weeks before their big day, the maid of honor was trying to sabotage the bride, telling Herbert that if he gives an ang pow with certain amount and above, the girls will just open the door and everyone will be very safe. Of course, this plan is not acceptable by Herbert at all, he said he won’t want to miss any fun of going through the obstacles. There came all the crazy ideas by the zi-mui while the heng-tai sacrifice a lot to prove their brotherhood spirit.
The church ceremony was held in Holy Rosary Church, followed by a small yet intimate garden reception at Passion Road. This is my first assignment at Passion Road and I am totally in love with it. Nestled in the centre of KL city, it’s just such a beautiful and whimsical venue for wedding, nicely decorated with the combination of couple’s favourite colour – black and hot pink.
The couple’s first dance, Herbert’s very touching thank you speech, a kissing game that failed to make the bride drunk as per the maid of honor’s plan and dance floor session kept the party alive throughout the night. All in all, everyone enjoyed themselves very much, including me and my team who were there for work.
Last but not least, thanks a million to Herbert and Jocelyn for putting trust on me, it’s glad to know both of you. Not forgetting also Aires for recommend me to the couple. Hope you all will enjoy the video!

Wedding Of Lu Sean & David in Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion Penang
Lu Sean & David chose to have their wedding in Cheong Fatt Tze “Blue” Mansion which has the perfect setting for their wedding theme, “In The Mood for Love”. Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion or Blue Mansion, an award winning conservation project under Unesco, is situated in Georgetown which also has been named Unesco World Heritage site.
Neither Lu Sean nor David is from Penang. It was indeed a destination wedding for both of them and their guests which came from all over Malaysia and overseas.
The day started with the Chinese Ceremony whereby David went to “fetch” Lu Sean for the tea ceremony. Of course Lu Sean’s best pals did not let David had it easy. He and his entourage had to pass a few tests before they were allowed in. After some yoga moves, “make-up” and song session to the satisfaction of Lu Sean, David finally got to fetch his bride. The traditional chinese tea ceremony was held at the main hall.
In the evening, the frontage of the Blue Mansion was transformed into a beautiful setting for their exchanging of vows ceremony. Cocktails followed with guests being served some traditional nyonya snacks. As night falls, guests proceeded into the Mansion for a scrumptious Chinese course dinner. It was a night of celebration with music and dance.
