Lu Sean & David chose to have their wedding in Cheong Fatt Tze “Blue” Mansion which has the perfect setting for their wedding theme, “In The Mood for Love”. Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion or Blue Mansion, an award winning conservation project under Unesco, is situated in Georgetown which also has been named Unesco World Heritage site.
Neither Lu Sean nor David is from Penang. It was indeed a destination wedding for both of them and their guests which came from all over Malaysia and overseas.
The day started with the Chinese Ceremony whereby David went to “fetch” Lu Sean for the tea ceremony. Of course Lu Sean’s best pals did not let David had it easy. He and his entourage had to pass a few tests before they were allowed in. After some yoga moves, “make-up” and song session to the satisfaction of Lu Sean, David finally got to fetch his bride. The traditional chinese tea ceremony was held at the main hall.
In the evening, the frontage of the Blue Mansion was transformed into a beautiful setting for their exchanging of vows ceremony. Cocktails followed with guests being served some traditional nyonya snacks. As night falls, guests proceeded into the Mansion for a scrumptious Chinese course dinner. It was a night of celebration with music and dance.
